FTVA Board of Director’s Meeting:

Postponed till 16 May, pending coordination with the Phoenix Booster Club, Stapleton Park (Security Hill), – will inform via web page. Booster club president’s mass email was pulled by Public Affairs (“if we do it for one, we have to do it for all”), CV wants to determine way 16 AF can support - Ted mentioned he will share the USN version and Brock
will share a softcopy of the old one. Many uses cited throughout meeting where having them will be helpful. - Members fees, Membership and Budget will be rolled into one committee – Organization Focus Will look at business plan, focusing on growth, and if there are benefits to increasing fees (annual and/or lifetime). (Recommendation from the MARC: calling this a “Strategic Planning Committee”, led by a member of the Executive Board (or appointee), with membership from each of the Chapters. This Committee will be responsible for developing and recommending long-term strategic plans and policies to the board of directors, focusing on the organizations

- Discussion/vote for/against $250 per chapter as suggested by Brock – Approved.
- Financial report for chapters – Approved to send 1/4ly financials to chapters (distro lists)
- Correspondence – None. Vigilant Partners donation is in-bound from the Ft Meade area (Mike Summers’ employer – Peraton)

- Tilly requested names/numbers of folks in HI to reach out and possibly join and give encouragement – Ted and Sharon will provide.
- Jerry asked those in attendance in person be introduced as part of the start of the meeting (need to introduce the zoom members too) – Will do, per Brock
- MARC Spring Social scheduled for 17 May; FTVA National is invited
- Elections for Treasurer & President to take place in the upcoming two months
- JJ gave a short recap of activities planned for next week in San Angelo. Anyone looking for support should contact JJ.
- Greg mentioned the Fall of Saigon commemoration in DC next week as well, he will attend. He stated that as the 50th anniversary, this could an end to this type of national recognition.
- Just in from Lee – 93 IS is having their annual picnic at Stapleton park next week (281030L Mar 25) and have asked for FTVA representation to provide info and possibly brief. Andy Smith, current treasurer, plans on attending.
- Remain In Touch inputs due 1 June, early inputs (pictures and comments from Heritage event and MARC Spring Social encouraged)

For SSFCU: In October 2024, the FTVA held elections and the following are the new board members and their positions: Mr. William P. Brockmiller Jr, President; Mr. Joseph A. Figueroa, Vice-President; Mr. Andy A. Smith, Treasurer; and Mr. Roy E. Burnett, Secretary/IT Director
The following people are no longer on the board of directors and should be removed from all accounts associated with the FTVA: Mr. Ken Maynard, Mr. Mike Nielsen, and Mr. Evan Smith.
