About The Vigilance Program
The Freedom Through Vigilance Association (FTVA) is a private, non-profit corporation dedicated to the support and perpetuation of the objectives of the U.S. Air Force and USAF Security Service and its successor organizations.
The Freedom Through Vigilance Association realizes its objectives, in part, by providing funds for programs that reward the hardworking, dedicated 16th AF people who go “above and beyond” to achieve the command mission. Since 1985, our Vigilant Partners program has helped provide an expanded base of support. Modeled after the Industrial Associates of the Air Force Association, the Vigilant Partners program permits industry, corporations, businesses and even individuals interested in 16th AF’s mission to join us in helping fund 16th AF programs. This fund then becomes the “16th AF People Recognition Fund.” As the government continues to downsize the defense establishment and reduce defense spending, our support for recognition programs becomes increasingly critical.
Each year, the 16th AF provides the Association a prioritized list of people recognition programs they consider essential. The Association then allocates funds to finance as many of these programs as the “25th AF People Recognition Fund” can afford. The Association administers the program and provides the structure for the activities. Vigilant Partner involvement is recognized and credited during every aspect of each event in pre and post publicity and in the printed programs. Donations by Association Vigilant Partners may be tax deductible in accordance with Internal Revenue Service directives.
We hope you will be able to join us in this continuing partnership to recognize excellence. We have structured our Vigilant Partners program to allow everyone from the largest industrial and corporate groups down to individual donors to get involved. Suggested levels of participation and partner benefits are detailed below. Your involvement in this program can make a big difference in our ability to support the vital command recognition programs. And, if you know of a company or business that would be a potential vigilant Partner, please let us know who they are so that we can offer them an opportunity to join us.
