Hall of Honor Biographies

Lt Gen Bradfor Shwedo

Integrated cyber and ISR forces with the merger of 24AF and 25AF – the first senior officer to oversee the strategic change of Joint All Domain Command and Control efforts. One of a kind leader who kept ISR and Cyber capabilities relevant and ready for any challenge or crisis!

An amazing officer and strategic visionary, General Shwedo combined ISR, information warfare, and cyber into a force multiplier and postured the Intelligence Community as the driver for cyber warfare and cybersecurity. He integrated all cyber and ISR forces and ultimately became the first senior intelligence officer to strategically change the Joint All Domain Command and Control efforts, sustaining our national competitive advantage.

General Shwedo fought for the interoperability of the RC-135/RIVET JOINT, U-2, and other ISR platforms and worked with national organizations to develop capabilities that kept them integrated with 6th generation fighters. His foresight resulted in our current cyber warfare offensive and defensive capabilities. He was an unabashed Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) advocate, recognizing them not only for collection, but also grasping their lethality capabilities.

General Shwedo directed cybersecurity activities that reduced foreign influence in national elections and further safeguarded to Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition systems that control critical infrastructure such as electricity, water, pipelines, and air traffic control. General BJ Shwedo was the epitome of a global ISR and cyber leader!
